Krystal Aguayo, LCSW

Krystal received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Krystal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NJ. She has worked in various settings, including outpatient mental health, nonprofit, and college counseling. Krystal also obtained a certificate in Interpersonal Violence and Trauma. She has extensive experience working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. She enjoys working with clients who have experienced trauma, as well as those with anxiety. She also enjoys helping clients who are going through life transitions, such as divorce, career changes, etc. Krystal also works with people experiencing other common challenges, such as stress management, depression, relationship challenges, racial identity ,and self-esteem issues. Krystal is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Krystal uses a strengths-based and person-centered approach, as well as mindfulness-based interventions. Krystal uses a down-to-earth, collaborate approach with her clients, along with her good sense of humor, in order to create a safe and comfortable environment in which to discuss challenges.

When she is not busy seeing clients, Krystal can be found wandering the aisles of a bookstore, chilling out or walking outside with her dog, journaling, getting a massage, or doing some yoga.
